My client's young Frenchie is showing aggression. Do you have any advice?

I train dogs in the UK and have recently been helping a family with a 7 month old Frenchie. When I first went round it was because he was showing aggression over food and objects but not just his own. If anyone had food he could show signs of aggression toward them. The family was getting ready to move house so there were boxes around and he started to guard the boxes.

He was a nice dog but he jumped up, pulled on lead, barked at dogs on lead as well. We stopped all of those things and I explained that he must be at the bottom of the structure. We agreed that he would have a line attached to his collar around the house in case he showed aggression and needed to be corrected. (They also have 2 young girls). After 7 days, I got a message to say he was like a different dog.

Family moved, slipped on the training due to kids school holidays etc and he then bit 2 workmen in the new house. I have advised for them to use the utility room as a kennel and restart training.

Any advice?

Thanks so much for your help, that's what I thought. Unfortunately the owners did not follow guidelines and the dog bit another family member. The vets had advised them that he needed more love and reward not strict guidelines. They listened to the vet. They have now rehomed him which is a crying shame. Thank you though.
