I've spent the last week reading this latest book by Steven R. Lindsay. I now have all three volum's and must say, they are FANTASTIC! Somewhat heavy reading for those who think 'Dog Training For Dummys' should be on the best seller list, but if you enjoy getting into a dogs head, these are the books to have.
Are they worth the cost? I think so, but thank heaven for Leerburg gift certificate Christmas presents! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

OK, I'm sold. I've been looking at these books and hesitating about the cost, but I'm sold!
And by the way, I take it the hints worked well for you.....

Bob, I have to say that I agree with you. I find them most interesting and informative .....they are the kind of books that you can read over and over and learn something new each time. Worth the money for me.
Definately books to keep referring back to. They are more like college text books than dog training how tos. PLUS! They sure make me look smart, sitting there on my book shelf <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />. This vol III is so big I can use an old, broken pair of glasses for a bookmark. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
I agree with you Bob - I have owned these before I sold them - I was nt sure if they would sell because thyey are not cheap - but they sell very well. Here is the URL for those interested http://www.leerburg.com/952b.htm
Agreed! I am kinda balking at the hefty price tag (me cutting costs and all before the darn wedding), but I checked out the first and third out at my university's vet med library. I figure if I'm going to be serious about dog behavioral consulting, I need to read them!! Like I don't have enough to read with my blankety blank masters thesis needing to be written...

These are my favorite books! Each volume stands alone, but they're soo much better as a set as they reference to each other.
Agreed........ OED Bob's posts are to "blame" <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> for my own purchase (Volume III), but I will *absolutely* be getting the rest.
They definately build off of each other. Not just updated versions of the last printing.
