Hi,
I am looking for some books on EDD and tracking. I searched the forum and didn't find any recommendations for EDD training but several for tracking (and/or Schutzhund). I am considering K9 Professional Tracking by Resi Gerritson and K9 Explosive Detection by Ron Mistafa. The second is offered by Leerburg, but, I didn't really get a good feel of the content in the book from the review on the Leerburg web-site. Is this (second book) more of a how to text or an "opinion" based writing? I am interested in doing some basic EDD training but am having trouble getting off the ground... little help?

I know zero about these subjects; I'm replying only to show you how to get in-depth reviews.
I Googled this:
"k9 explosive detection" review
with the title in quotes and the word review not in quotes, and up popped several sites, such as WorkingDog.com, which did have reviews.
So you could read several reviews and then order from Leerburg!
Also, when I was looking for training books, I Googled
dogs, books, training
and found tons of reviews. You could refine the search with the type of training.
Ah, thanks Connie!! I will try that. Never thought of googling for a review.

I almost always use Amazon for reviews, because they offer both customer reviews and professional reviews. However, when it's this type of book, you have to weed through them and see who's doing the review, because you want a professional dog person as opposed to a professional book review person!
