I visited a litter of puppies. They had just finished eating and were sleeping when I arrived. We opened the crate and they didn't seem to want to come out and when you reached in to get them they seemed to back off. Is this due to the fact they are just so young and they will be running up to you at a later time. Also after being out, say a few minutes they seemed fine. Ran around shaking my pant legs. I have seen both the parents and both are very friendly. Is the initial "shyness" normal?
last question. I don't agree with how they are being fed. commercial dog food. I will feed a natural kibbel. ie canidae, or wellness. Will the "cheap" food hurt their growth. ie will they be 60 lbs full grown rather than 65.
How would it affect them being raised on it a few weeks.
I agree with you on the food. While I can't say what this could or couldn't cause, would it be possible for you to pick your pup and have the breeder, at your expense feed what you want him/her to eat? Sounds far-fetched, but if it's YOUR puppy, and you feel so strongly about it, it might just be worth asking.
