Just cant help myself on this one. Our "Master Trainer" has now gone completely over the top. He is telling the new handlers, and anyone else who will listen, that a dogs' eye color is an indication of dominance.
Seems that "Yellow" eyes are reserved for alpha dogs only. But it gets better. If you have a yellow eyed alpha dog, and through your training the dog finally submits to the handler, the dogs' eye color will miraculously change to brown. Not unlike sort of a doggie mood ring.
I figured a bunch of you would get a kick out of this. Go ahead and fire away. I gave even the poorest shot a huge target.
I don't know how much more of this I can take. First he takes away the e-collar and pinch collars, now this. Sinking fast.

Forgot to mention.....seems that the last dog he worked (10-11 years ago) had yellow eyes. Ive been told by the master trainer that the dog was the only alpha dog we ever had. Ive also been told by another handler that the dog was a fear biter..Who to believe <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
I am not going to shoot fish in a barrel. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> There was a study done in the 20's about light vs dark eyes and the connection to intellegence. Seems the light eyes did better in the study, but worse in the show ring. Ask your fish in a barrel if this is true, then if they get brain damage, does that affect their eye color??? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

What color are the trainers eyes. Watch out if they are light!!! I'm sorry but that was to funny!!!! I think, shoot I don't know what to think. Good luck to you buddy!!!
Oh my - Howard, you have my sympathies.
I have had years of people coming up to me and telling me my blue eyed dogs are blind, that the ones with two different colour eyes will "turn on me" and that the parti-eyed dogs are blind and have "something wrong with their eyes" Oh yeah, I missed one- yellow eyed dogs "got more wolf in 'em" and they "will turn on me some day".
