Having just seen the thread on the anti-tobacco add with the GSD in a cage in Union Square, I wanted to ask after another add I've seen a few times.
It's an anti drug add wherein a teenage boy (under the influence of marijuana it is implied) takes his friend up on a dare to see if he can "outrun Tiktik" a junkyyard dog.
Cut to a seriously ferocious looking dog chasing this kid through said junkyard. Anyway, the point is I think its a malinois but I'm not sure. It's gorgeous and pretty darn fast.
We had a show tivo'd and I was fast-forwarding through the commercials and I noticed the Mal. Looks just like my boy, only my boys snout is slightly broader.
Watch out, Mal's are the new GSD's and they are about to be demonized.
Thanks for the link, Mike! I watched it 4 times in a row! I can't get enough of the way that Mal pops his head up off his paws when he goes on alert! Too funny! (or maybe I'm just strange...?)

Reality is a better term. THey go from "coma" to defcom 4 in milliseconds. THe other way around is a bit more tricky

WOW! It would take more than "smoking some weed" to convince me to try outrunning that dog.
