Shaun Woods Webboard User Reg: 08-25-2005 Posts: 27 Loc: Knoxville, TN Offline	I've been very interested in dog genetics and improving the giant schnauzer. i am wondering is there some type of database to find information on bloodlines. im not going to jump into this until i have enough information to make educated decision on improving the breed. even if it takes years. iv been reading alot of books about all the reasearch breeders do ,but im clueless of how in the world they obtain it. any information would be appreciated!

And I mean hours of talking to experts in the breed! Trials, breeders, trainers, etc. Each one will say "Ok, now talk to ..." Every person will lead you to 3 others. The trainers know how a certain line works, the breeders know who throws what, and at trials, you get to talk to a whole slew of people that know other people. I carry a throat lozenge and large bottle of water, along with a note pad!! Good luck in finding out your needed info!
