Did Cesar Millan directly invovled with the incident or was it one of those situations where he's responsible because it was his facility? (As in an employee mishandeling)

$25K for a vet bill for the damages out in LA? Wow, that's like $50 dollars anywhere else...
"You don't have to train a dog as much as you have to train a human."--Cesar Millan
From the article: "It seeks more than $25,000 in damages."
If he's alleging at least $25k in vet bills, I gotta figure he's suing for a 6-figure amount. That's how you know you've made the big time in L. A.
I feel sorry for Cesar. This client comes to him with a problem dog and needs help. Then they sue him. Cesars guy should have killed the damn dog. Then he would only have had to pay $200.00 to replace the dog - OK so you toss in another $100 for pain and suffering for the ass hole owner.
Unfortunatley he will probably loose his insurance.
I got sued a couple of years ago. A foster dog that had not been in my kennel in 2 years lived with a foster family with small kids - a nieghbor kid came over to play - the dog jumped up and scratched the kids back with her toe nails. The foster parent was right there and saw it happen.
Because I was the registered AKC owner of the dog the white trash neigbor sued me and my damn insurance company settled.
The kid has a 1 inch thick medical file for ADD and serious behvioral disorders. He was supose to be on Ritlin but his mother took him off it 2 months before this. When he went to school he had to wear a LEAD COAT so he could not leave his desk ( I had never heard of that - sounds like child abuse)
Anyway - I dont envy what Cesar has to go through.

I am sorry that this is happening to Cesar and am sorry about the BS lawsuit that happened to Ed. The parent was definitely culpable in this instance due to the lack of meds and the lack of supervision. The lack of meds could also be considered child abuse unless witheld on a Dr.'s orders I really doubt the part about the lead coat and restricting the childs ability to leave his desk. He would be in grave danger in the event of a fire or other emergency at school. There would be no way to protect him. I am not doubting Ed here I am just not sure he got the whole story. Ed I am truly sorry that you got burned by the dregs of our society.
The big issue that stuck out from this article is --Why would anyone else train MY dog for fearful behaviors? I'd drop my car off at the shop to get a repair, but I would not drop off my dog to ANYBODY, I DON'T CARE WHO, for working out these kind of problems. As an owner I'd want to be included in every part of my pet's re-learning or rehabilitation for a "behaviorial" problem. Who knows what really went on.
Most owners are the *major* contributor for a dog's behavioral problems.
Having the owner present for the treatment of those problems often doesn't help and in fact hinders any training to correct those problems.
