Got her at 8 weeks old and 15lbs
She is currently 13 weeks old and 32lbs
I have a flat collar and 6' leather lead.
This is my first dog, so I am a rookie when it comes to dog training. My parents have always had dogs, but they never got it into any type of training (other than house breaking)
I am looking for suggestions on an E-collar for future use. Tri-Tronic or Dagtra. I have a field near by that I can use for training that is less than a mile long.
(1) Can you suggest a good model for an Collar
(2) What size Prong Collar should I get? (yes, I know I will need to add and subtract links).
I have Ed's videos: 8 weeks - 8 months and the Obedience Video as well.
Studying his video BEFORE you even buy the collar is crucial, IMHO, and then just throw away the DVD that comes with whatever brand of collar you end up getting (yep, throw it away!) -- then follow all Ed's instructions <:-)

Kevin,
I have two Tri-Tronics that work well although I do not like the bulky transmitters. I also have a Sport Dog 1800 (up to three dogs) that actually works really well. I was skeptical but am pretty impressed with it. I like the Dogtra's also but they did not have the one I wanted in-stock and I needed one fast. (Our Tri-Tronics are on loan)
Good Luck.....
