our pup is 5 months old and is raw fed. typically her poop comes out in several small pieces and appears dry. like if you step on it breaks up into smaller pieces and appears powdery. does anyone know if this is normal? thanks, brian

The smallness of it is typical, IME, of raw-fed dogs. I believe it indicates that the food was used efficently by the dog's body and that there was very little that was unuseable to be eliminated.
Also, it does dry pretty quickly, into a chalky substance.
But if it's completely dry immediately, then maybe there is a bit too much bone and too little meat (easily fixed). So if it's like dust, I'd add a tad more muscle meat. If it's like clods of dirt, it sounds normal to me.
