Hello everyone, this Is Lori, Michael's G/F and here is our sad story.
Hello, Our story is one to tell, as I am sadly sure there are more just like it. Let me start off First by saying that in November of 2005 we were the proud and loving perents of a 3 year old RW GSD that was having hip problems(MAC), we decided that the best medicine was a little brother. Due to the great experience of purchase with Mac we contacted Gayle Barnes and ended up sending her a $1500.00 check for A pup From Donte and Aaron's litter. We were over-joyed that he would be ready for pick up on Dec 17 2006. Meanwhile our check cleared the bank before A week was up. We waited and finnally contacted Gayle on the 16th and she told us she was out of town for a family emergency and would meet us at a gas station 45 minutes from our house the following day. We were there waititng and she called and said she was 4 hours away still. Could she not have told us that earlier? So when we tried to call her back minutes later to re arrange p/u of our pup she ignored the calls. We were frustrated and the next day got a hold of her and she was in Tennessee on her way to Virginia. She in so many words told us wait a month or We could pay for her to fly him to us, we in so many words told her we would be in Tennessee the following day to get him and that was it. We rented a car went to TN and got our pup from one of Gayle's Friends who reaked of liquor, in a parking lot of a store at 8pm on December,21 2005. If you ask us that is more like a drug deal than adoption. We loved him from the minute we layed eyes on his sweet little face. We signed a contract on the hood of our rental car and gave it to the lady we in return got no papers that were garanteed to us AKC, Parent Photo, Hip garantee,Microchip, and blood line history, among other things. WE headed home with our baby "MILO". We just wanted our baby so we signed the null and void contract that was signed out of IL state, that is illegal for her to do. We continued to try to contact her until she diconnected her IL phone# AND DELETED HER WEBSITE! Luckily we printed the entire site that stated what we were due with MILO. We paid to get him microchipped and he had regular vet appointments. He healed his Brother Mac into a puppy again, and he instantly made our lives richer. His Birth date was OCTOBER 22 2005. He had the best litlle puppy life a dog could possibly have ever, we trained him in school on obedience and he ate the best food there is for them, and had Parents and A brother that loved him to no end. We found out that he had a heart murmer and he'd probably grow out of it. We loved him, and loved him, and loved him. His one year birthday came and passed.OnNov 28 2006 we noticed that he was lathargic and had a small limp. We took him to the vets office and he had a fever the vet said he had just pulled a muscle as for the limp, But we were excited to hear his heart mumer was Finally gone though. He was on antibiotics and pain meds and seemed to be fine until Friday Dec 1 2006.HE started breathing in and out small fast constant breaths, we took him back to the wonderful Vet we have and he took x-rays and said Milo had severe conjestion in his lungs (pnemonia) and put him on a stronger antibiiotic and took him off the pain meds. He said it takes about 3 days to show sign of improvement and if not to bring him in on monday to do tests and blood work. He stopped eating that day, there was no time to swallow between the rapid short breaths. we got appetite boosting food for him, no luck. We seen his condition worsening on saturday and sunday night he looked skinny so we tried blending his food up with water so he could just drink it because he was drinking water, no luck. we resorted to squeezing it into his mouth with a turkey baister, no luck. We were afraid for him and the vet was open in the morning. we seen him spiral down in hours. That was hard. Bright and early we had to help him down the stairs he couldn't do it. we called the vet frantically and he said bring him in now. we were warming up our jeep, and getting shoes on and he peed..no control over his body, his hair was standing up on his back, we walked into the room and were ready to go and looked at him and there he lied looking like a dog we never knew, breathless. We screamed and Picked him up, blood flowing out of his sweet mouth all the way to the jeep. Mike went 80 MPH to our vet and they were there waiting with open arms.... he was gone at our house but we didn't give up. The vet Offered to do A Necropsy for us. We are now awaiting the full results IT was genetics though he says. There was nothing we could have done to help him and had we took him to an emergency vet sunday night he would have died in a cold cage with IV's in his sweet paws. We lost one of our Babies on December 4 2006, and we are never going to be the same. Now we want to speak out for Milo to all the other parents of that litter or from those GSD lines so they don't loose their sweet- eyed pups too we will update with the results to better help you. We Want to Find Gayle Barnes, And fight for what we know is right and for what we've lost because of Her selfish Ignorance. We are now the Heartbroken loving parents of A 4 year old RW GSD with Hip problems. Feel Free to contact us if we can help you, or if you can help us.

Oh my goodness.. this is horrible! What a sad story, I'm so sorry.. will you post the results here? I wonder what can do such a thing.
If you do a search for the kennel name on this site, you'll find a lot, though I'm sure you already know about it all. Also, if you go to ripoffreport.com and search the kennel name, you'll find more.
Good luck with everything, I'm so sorry your pup had to go this way.

thank you for your thoughts, we will post the results here, in hopes of helping others. Raven Wolf (RW) pups should be looked after carfully and we recommend blood work even if nothing is wrong so you can stop it before it starts in these pups. Thanks Diana!

I am so, so sorry that you all had to go through this heartache. I hope the necropsy report give you some closure....even if you still have to deal with finding this "breeder". My prayers are with you.

I remember reading a long long story about this breeder and reading your story Mike, with a different ending cuase it was a while back so your pup was still alive. But did you not buy once before from this breeder?
Also I remmeber as well another woman unhappy about that breeder that was suing her, right?
I remember being up late reading this on a web site I don't recall but there were tons of stuff being said about this breeder and others defending her.It sounded like bunch of white trash speaking on her behalf (raven Wolf).I can't believe it is still going on! Isn't this con artist in jail by now???
Sorry about your pup Mike it's terrible what you went through, breeders like her should be put away. And not for just pretending to be a breeder but also taking peoples money and running to different states, and not delivering the goods!
WOW.

Angelique,Yes this story was posted before. It was also posted on Rip-off report, but at that time we had what we thought was a healthy pup and the headache of trying to find Ravenswolf was taking its toll.My first GSD was purchased from Ravenswolf about 4 yrs. ago.I found her through a web site and that whole experience was very nice.We got an excellent dog from her and had heard nothing negative about her dogs or her business practices. So when we decided to get another one our first thought was Ravenswolf.Only this time I was going to pay 3x's as much for this one.I figured his potential would be limitless.I can only assume my first experience with her was at the height of her breeding and she must have gone downhill from there.I had no reason not to trust her(based on my first encounter)I hope that clears up a few things. For what ist worth when we heal from this we WILL be getting another dog.Only my search for a breeder will be much more extensive.Thank you again everyone for your thoughts.I read through other posts about people who have lost thier pets and it saddens me , but to actually be on the other end of the story is something completely different. My heart goes out to all of you who have lost a friend like mine, cause now I get it.
