I have done some reading and can not come to a conclusion.
Is my pup from working lines or working showlines??
Hell man I can not even tell if its czech lines.
I notice a lot of the same titles on working and what people refer to as working show lines. If judging by color I would say woring show lines but i would love some input from more experienced folks then I.
Steve, your pup is showline. Yasko is a huge showline male that was imported to this country a year, two years? ago. The showline people love him for the deep red/ black coat. Rikkor v. Bad Boll, while having some Kirschental (herding) is fairly dripping with the Martin brothers lines, big showline.
Not to say that your pup cannot do everything you want and look good doing it, but yeah, showline.

Yes, you have a German Show line. Both your pup's Grandfathers are very famous German Show line dogs. My pup has a similar pedigree as yours. Nice (and expensive) dog but not a working dog by any strech.
Click on the site below and you can see how the show line and the working line are different.
Steve I hope you did not take any offense. You and I did the exact same thing. When I bought Cooper I thought I was getting this uber working dog. I of course was wrong . The links to his parents are below
This was completely my fault as the breeder explained he was a show line I just did not realize that there where Sch III and and then there were Sch III. In any event I am very proud of Cooper and get stopped whenever I take him for a walk. He is a great dog just not a working dog, and the fact is I could probably not handle a true working dog without losing my mind (see the no sleep post above).

Don`t ever let anybody tell you your dog can`t work. Some the the kennel names in those pedigree`s are the founding kennels for GSD`s before the Working/Show controversy.
There are soft and hard dogs in both. I`ve never seen him but I`ve been told by a number of judges that claim to be hard core pro working line that FANTO VOM HIRSCHEL was one of the more incredible dogs they`ve seen. He`s German Showline.
The only thing needed for evil to exist is for good men to stand by and do nothing!!!
