Hi, just wondering how you think this situation should have been handled? It seems the handler is working out of frustration and and anger and the dog slamming isn't really helping anything.
P.S.--I have nothing to do with the animal rights company that posted this vid. I'm just curious from a training perspective.
You need to sit back in your garden, sip a whiskey, smoke a cigar and THINK about your dog training.
That video and a discussion about it has been beaten to death on this forum. I'm sure if you did a search you'd find what many people had to say about it.

Any behavior that is reinforced is more likely to occur again.
I've never seen that video and haven't read any of the previous threads about it.
That dog will end up being handler agressive and never be any good. What that handler did was wrong and the guy in the background telling this guy to do what he was doing should be slammed into the ground repeatedly until they realize that how they are training this dog is COMPLETELY wrong. It really makes me mad, there are other ways to handle a situation like that. This is all I'm going to say about it. I won't post anymore on this particular thread.
