Bathe away, but keep the ears dry, and make sure the pup is dried carefully, do not let him get cold. I almost never bathe my dogs, just rinse them when they play in mud.
I cut up tripe and feed it in chunks, never gave chicken feet. My dog does not do well with raw, in general, has a delicate stomach.
Tripe is great , I don't know how you get yours but mine is ground, so it's easy to weight and add to their diet.I give tripe everyday. Bathing a puppy is fine don't use foofoo shampoos a good conditioner is good for their coats ezpecially in the desert area, where the air is so dry.
I give chicken feet to all my dogs, including the King Charles that is 6 months of age now and his mouth is as small as a puppy GSD and he eats the feet ALL of it just fine.I feed raw so I don't have an issue with it
chicken feet are no problem, they eat it whole. Feed tripe WHOLE if you can (natures dental floss) but if you have to feed it ground then that's better than nothing. Keep in mind it stinks, feed it outside. Give your dog a whole piece to work away at once or twice a week and there you go.
Not human shampoo or baby shampoo- the ph is wrong for their skin. May cause sensitivities, rash and dried out skin and hair. Just get a basic dog shampoo, not the ones with all the scents and colors and special luxury stuff in them. The more neutral and natural the better.

Robbin, I use Nature's Coat Natural Oatmeal dog shampoo. They do make a puppy shampoo, but I prefer their natural variety. I only washed Carbon once because he REALLY needed it: My son rubbed maple syrup on the top of his head and my fiance accidentally spilled a half a cup of leukwarm coffee on his back. He smelled like IHOP.
Is it ok to feed the tripe that is cleaned and packed into a vacume-type plastic......the stuff I get doesn't smell too bad, it looks like long intestines. Pretty gross but the anorexic will eat a whole package of the stuff so I've been getting it for him.
Also does anyone here use the Aussie Miracle Coat? My girls haven't had a real bath in over a year.....it was so hot this summer I just hosed them down about every other day.
I think just being hosed down with clean water is fine, it's the overuse of shampoo you have to watch out for.As long as your tripe is not bleached, it's fine to give.
I wonder why it does not smell bad though cause mine stinks!!

Are you talking about the white-ish tripe that you find at the grocer's? If so, that's not the tripe you want to feed your dog. It doesn't stink and I believe has been bleached and doesn't have the nutritional value. In fact I'm not sure what value it has at all. You want green tripe for dogs.
