My 1 year old cairn terrier bitch jumps up on the couch and sits on my or my girlfriends lap. If we are sitting forward with our elbows resting on our knees she will push her head under our arms and sit there for as long as we sit there.
Can anyone explain why my dog is acting like this. It doesnt bother me but im trying to understand why my dog acts the way she does so i understand her better.
I know i shouldnt have her on the couch but its one allowance we give her.
Thanks all
Gavin
Gavin, it appears she is just cuddling with you. Since your arms are forward she puts her head underneath them. It doesn't seem to me to be a behavior problem or a dominance problem (my thoughts). It actually sounds quite sweet.
