I loved this quote from that news article:
"Their attorney, Timothy Owens, said he had hoped his clients’ sentencing would have focused more on rehabilitation than incarceration."
To which I say - bulls**t! I want them *punished*, plain and simple. They're future serial killers in the making ( an almost universal trait of serial killers is their torture and murder of animals in their youth ), might as well extract as much punishment out of the legal system as possible before they graduate onto bigger prey......likely helpless humans.
I'd have *zero* trouble with executing trash like this. Although some less than gentle "handling" by their fellow prisoners would be a fine learning experience for them - teach tem what it's like to be the victim for a change.
Remember their names, you'll be reading about them again someday.
Personally I'm an advocate for the death penalty - not as a punishment, but as a means of "disposing of those who are unable to be rehabilitated". It's callous and unemotional, and I don't care.
Find someone who can tell me these two can be rehabilitated, and I might rethink my position of what they really deserve.
Unfortunely Jamie ,there is always an idiot psychiatric that would say they can be rehabilitated or an attorney who believes his clients are not harmful to the society.I would love to put each guilty criminal that gets away with their crime, living next door to the judges and attorneys that give em' a slap on the hand
I'd have *zero* trouble with executing trash like this.
Nah, this is what I would love to see happen...
They deserve living 10 long years within the prison system and among the prisoners who will make their lives there a torturous, vile, sickening, agonizing existence. And then, after 10 years of life horrific beyond imagination, they are killed by fellow inmates the day they are due to be released . Now that would be what they deserve!
I agree with Judy, and would like to add that their deaths should be slow, painful and messy with no one around to help or show mercy. Then maybe they'll find a little empathy for that poor pup in their last moments. Geez....I scare myself sometimes
