Tonight (Feb 22) we will shut the board down to update the software for the board to the new version that came out today. There are some bug fixes in the new version that we want to take advantage of.
It will change the way to view the active topics. You will be able to hover your mouse over one of the active topics and read some of the LAST POST. Which is important.
Ryan (our IT Manager here at Leerburg) thinks this will only take about an hour if everything goes ok.
So TONIGHT AT MIDNIGHT THE BOARD IS DOWN FOR ONE HOUR !!
Looks wierd, no pictures at top. Can't click on the right hand column to go to the latest post. You just automatically go to the last post when you click on the left-hand column, instead of going to the first post in the thread. Is this the way it's supposed to be?
I like that it's showing the last poster, I like the little comment box that pops up when you pause your cursor over the Post in the left hand column, too.
Janice, the right hand column works fine for me. Have you tried clearing your cache and reloading the page? Might work for some of the lazier older computers.
Yeah, I also miss seeing the pictures at the top. Otherwise I really like this new version
Well Ryan got did his magic and got this done - for those wha have not figured this out - if you HOVER your mouse over the subject you can read the first part of the last post.
You can now also see who posted last rather than who started the thread - its more useful
I believe you will all find this a better version of the board.
Yuko, the right hand column works for me when I am in the Forum List, but when I am actuall in a Forum, such as "Active Topics", last 24 hours, the right hand column labeled "Posted" does not open up the thread. Used to be if you clicked on the left hand column, you went to the first post in the thread, and if you clicked in the right hand column, you went to the last post in the thread. Now you only go to the last post in the thread. That's not a huge deal, and I love the other new features, such as Offline Online button, and being able to see who the last poster was, and a little preview of what was last posted.
I can always scroll to the top so that I can start reading at the beginning.
