I'm not sure if this is the correct sub-forum topic to post this under, but I hope it's okay. Has anyone dealt with Vielenbache Kennels in TX? I'm in San Antonio, and we're looking for a puppy prospect for PPD work, and came across this kennel online. Just looking for general info.
If the kennel has a website, it's considered good form to at least post that so that the other posters don't have to "google" the kennel name to take a look at them to jog their memory.
IMO ,the thing that I did not like is the pictures of His "dogs", his GSDs' photo are of very young dogs, how can you advertise your female breeding candidate at 8 weeks of age.Everybreeder knows that at 8 weeks , you do not know what you have yet and to presume she will be the brood bitch is a bit over the top for me(maybe I am missing something on that website but I don't think so).No photos of real mature dogs that impressed me.I like to see a better description and videos of dogs that are being bred. The pictures are not anything I would even make a decision on , and I have seen far better pictures and videos that I still would not consider(sightunseen) but you can't go wrong with referalls, word of mouth..If you want a nice PPD material dog, here is where you should invest your dollars.
Great breeder and Great dogs and all the help you need http://vonsidener.com/
That is where I would buy my next PPD dog
And I've said this sooo many times before, why oh why do people post such crappy "working" photo's of their dogs? Don't they realize that those photo's, for better or worse, are often the primary information that would-be buyers will have about their dogs and training techniques?
I'm sorry, when kennels have horrible photo's that show just blatant safety violations during training and amateurish "wannabe" crap going on, I just have to think that they are showing the best that they can do....and I'd avoid them like the plague.
Lack of professionalism is a real turn off in my view.
Hi Kameron, i sent you a pm awhile ago, don't know if you got it but anyway, in the about us section they say they're into breeding show dogs too, that's a red flag (show dogs suck for any kind of work, and don't let anybody tell you different, :grin, check out http://www.k9nation1.com, awesome dogs, i got a k9 nation puppy right next to me as i try to type. I also know a nice leerburg dog, and i've met one of Molly Grafs dogs (eagle) pups and they're all really good dogs with excellent breeders, those are 3 to get you started, if i knew how to link it i would
