I was talking to a breeder that instead of using dog heartgard uses the cow dewormer ivermectin injectible(same active ingredient as heartgard) in a 1:3 ratio with propylene glycol and administers orally 1 cc per 20 lbs. says it works on all common worms including heart worms, but not tape.

Yes i know a breeder who use's this also but i think the dosage that she was giving was 1cc per 100 pounds of bodyweight. Maybe the ratio of propylene glycol was different, i don't know if it's even made in different dilution's, but i will check into this.
