Lovella Lagdaan Webboard User Reg: 02-09-2007 Posts: 95 Loc: Offline	My puppy doesn't seem to whine or bark when he has to go poop and he's in his kennel...any ideas what this means or what I can do to fix this? During the night he just holds it all day. But sometimes if I can't watch him in the morning I will kennel him up while I get ready (15min) and he will poop.

Take him out immediately after every time he eats, every time he sleeps and every time he plays. If you take him out, then play with him inside for just a few minutes, you still need to take him out again before kenneling him. Housetraining is very simple. It's just not easy.

Until your dog absolutely "gets it" about housetraining, then you just have to take him out a lot. It can be a huge hassle, but multiple trips outside = a quicker training. If he's already pooped in the kennel, then you need some great cleaning to get rid of the scent that can cause repeat offenses. I've had great success with Nature's Miracle. This is a kennel, not a crate, right? I would stick with a crate for housetraining...less room (both literally and metephorically) to make mistakes! Good luck! Carbon
