Do you know anyone willing to dog/house sit? Thats what I do. I don't know what your set up is, but I can leave in the morning with both dogs in an outside covered run, and then I only need someone to come, feed dinner bring them in for the night, and then back out again first thing. My dogs don't bark in an outside kennel though, unless there is a loose dog on the property.
This isn't their normal schedule, but it is preferable to putting them in a kennel for the weekend. A lot of dogs come home with some interesting new tricks they learned while away. Not to mention the stink.
If you must board, I doubt you will get around doing kennel cough, reguardless of any concerns you may have.
Thanks to all of you for your replies. The "stink" is no problem. The kennel where Lance stays is extremely clean and well maintained. I've read some posts mentioning the negative aspects of intranasal as well. Oh well, it doesn't seem as if there is any way around this situation. Deanna, it would be nice to do as you do with your dogs, but that isn't possible. Thanks again.
Hello All,
This might be a stupid question or not in the right area to ask about this.
But when you go to a trial,or try to title your dog for(Schutzen) don't the dogs have to show that they are up to date on there shots?
I also agree about not having my husbands and my dog to have more vaccinations.(Rabies and when she is do again to have her blood check to see if she needs the shot again)
Any feedback would be helpfull.
Thanks
