Please allow me to borrow a great saying from our esteemed governor of California.......<insert dramatic pause here followed by bad english>...."I'll be back"
On a more serious note....WOW, Arras is one hell of a dog. You must be very proud of him.
Also, your puppy has turned her crate into a mexican jumping bean her first night .........I think I've got a little landshark on my hands.
Was the take down on a long bite? James you are brave!!!!!!!
Did Jason tell you what happened to his finger before you agreed to put on the sleeve?? heehee
Yes....In my own defense, I am recovering from an ankle sprain that acted up in mid-bite. However, the main reason I went down is that.....Arras is a lot of dog coming at ya.
As for the finger incident, well, I was warned....and can only say "Thank GOD" I had a sleeve on.
Arras's cold stare bored into me as I stood absolutely still. It reminded me of a crocodile waiting for wilderbeasts to cross a river on National Geographic. Waiting....And Waiting.....
And with a hint of reserved glee, Jason said "Run" and I swear he whispered "For Your Life!HA HA HA" as an afterthought.
In a tornado of teeth, fur, and tail, Arras sped after me.
Time slowed....images flashed in my head.....First Jason's finger, then my family followed by friends and good times.....I feared for my life.
Arras hit with all the intensity that could be expected.......threw his weight all to one side and unbalanced me....I could feel the stress on my ankle and chose a graceful take down to my knees instead of risking my ankle and avoiding a true pride bruising take down that I had no control of.
Arras is a fast and powerful dog.
Hey Sandy....
I've decoyed quite a bit in the last year and a half, however, only for PPD's and some police k9's. I'm just now getting involved in schutzhund.
As for Pics and Updates....Patience.......My Member's Photo and Bio thread is forthcoming. Jason picked out a little girl he named Billie for me...However, the name will change and I am not certain what I want to call her yet. She is a little tiger.
