What is the best tick control. We have used the stuff you put on their backs but it seems to cause skin conditions .One shepard I had t hot spots in the area.Wev'e used 7 dust but don't like the idea of putting posion all over my dogs. The same thing with dipping.any comments much appreciated.
Years ago when we lived in the forest (tick country) we had a flea and tick collar on our Lab/Pointer mix and she never got ticks. I'm sorry, I don't remember the brand. I know we got it at the grocery store, so it may have been Hartz Mountain or one of those. I now use Frontline that's put on the dog's back but if my dog had problems with that I'd use a collar again.
my dogs get walks through the woods daily. Maybe I'll try thecollars But if collars work they must be pretty potent.Has anybody heard of garlic.I know a hunter told me of this but I swear I read somwhere that garlic is bad for dogs. What about ivomec for heartworms since you would treat every 45 days would that stop tick problems
