Keith Jablonowski Webboard User Reg: 12-07-2006 Posts: 127 Loc: Lombard, IL Offline	Since I hate math sometimes as much as everyone else I created a simple Excel Spreadsheet to do the calculations for me. Thought I would share with anyone else interested. To download go to: download raw feeding amounts click on my documents and download raw feeding amount.xls. It should be self explanatory but there are some basic instructions inside. PS. I checked the math against Carol's updated calculations in another post and it looks correct. The only addition I would make would be to separate the meat into two categories - rmbs and muscle meat. No two people will agree on what these percentages should be, so I would leave it up to the individual feeder. Other than that, this should be a big help for raw feeders. As you think, so shall you be.

One thing that would make it more useful to us prey model feeders is to add a column for bone. Prey model feeders don't feed veggies, just meat, bone and organs. Cindy cindyr@leerburg.com

While I'm personally too lazy to weigh and calculate my dogs' meals, I do know of a number of people (recently switched to raw) who would love this spreadsheet of yours. Newbs... still fretting over every detail and weighing everything to make sure that they're not off "The Ratios" by a single gram And I like that you can switch the values around - no matter what ratios people are feeding they can modify the values to suit them. Nice!

Cindy, you can certainly just change the heading for % veggies to % bone, then change the percent you wish to feed of bone like Carol said. Yuko, I agree, great for newbs and people with growing pups. I used it all the time as my pup was gaining weight and I was reducing the % of desired weight. This was just something that I created in a few minutes. Feel free to make any changes to better suit your own needs. Though not an excel expert I can answer basic questions if anyone has any, feel free to PM. Keith Jablonowski
