Hey, I want to switch from commercial kibble to a raw diet. I know this might be an ignorant question but I am going to ask it anyways.
Is the Honest Kitchen that is sold on this website considered a, "Raw Diet?" Is this that is all that needs to be fed for a complete raw diet?
Also is it ok to supplement the honest kitchen with Olewo and The Missing Link Plus?
ALso, for my 14 month old GSD should I feed the Chicken or Turkey formula? He is pretty active as I walk him once or twice a day for 45 minutes each, as well as play ball with him for about 30 minutes - 1 hour and usually swim with him as well.
You should have probably figured out by now that the answers to your questions are all over this web site. Start here - http://leerburg.com/feedingarawdiet.htm - and then read posts in the "All Natural Diets for Dogs" section.

Is it considered, "as good" as raw or is raw still superior?
Thanks.
If you feed RMBs, using THK for the rest of the diet, I think it's fine, and it's easy. Good for a beginner, too.
I would still use salmon oil and vitamin E, because long-chain Omega 3s are not provided. (Short-chain 3s from flax are.)
This has been discussed, as Mike points out, extensively, and if you do a "search" using THK for, say, a year, you will have more than you ever wanted to know about it.
