If it's a board certified surgeon the price will be higher. If the surgery is difficult and/or lengthy then the price will run to the higher end. I believe there may be other options to repair this...I'm sorry I don't know what they are. Also want to add that when giving estimates we tend to round them up...the worst possible case...so as not to surprise the owners. I think this is very common. True
