My personal preference for fish oil is a gram (1000 mg) per 10 pounds of dog weight. Several vet med web sites I have seen mention a gram per 20 pounds of dog weight.
If you can get your dog to take 7 caps a day, I'll pay anything to know how you do it!
I hate this conversion stuff. I try to give 4 pumps a day to my 65# female, which seems to be the minimum amount necessary to manage her skin problems. The Grizzly bottle says that's about .5 fl. oz (4x 0.12) which I think converts to 3 tsps.
Giant glop of peanut butter, Quinn likes creamy ;-), on the BACK of a spoon. Since it is on the back, he now opens his mouth wide (did I mention he likes the creamy stuff!!!), and I can just scrape it on the back of his upper incisors and it all goes in with the pills "stuck" on the roof of his mouth. I can get about 10 at a time on one glob!
You should see them come running when the peanut butter come out! They love it! Makes for a very positive pilly experience.
Good Luck.
P.S. Even my girl, who won't take pills easily, to the point of spitting them out, will take them this way.

My dogs will all accept anything in peanut butter too. :>

You wouldn't offer to pay anything to see Kasey eat 7 salmon oil capsules if you knew him!!! I would pay anything to see him NOT eat something!! He will down anything you hand him - which is definitely not always a good thing! But he has no problem with those capsules going down the hatch!

Well, I feed 10 a day to each dog, and I used to stand there with a straight pin and poke a hole in each one and squirt it on their food. Then I thought, who's the one who is really trained in this scenario?
Now, I just dump 5 in their bowls in the morning (with a 200iu Vit. E), and 5 in the evening (with a 200iu Vit. E) and they eat them like candy.
I never said they were the sharpest pair in the drawer...
