At 7 years old my pitbull is old and its way to late to do any protection work with him. Im looking for a european line Doberman puppy to train for protection and possibly S&R. Well let me tell you what im thinking. i have 1 acre of land but the fenceing around is not good and easy to escape. i would really like to purchase something like this http://www.petprokennelstore.com/uldogke5x10x.html for training outside (id wanan use a leash for training), i was planning on after walks i could play with him as a pup in there (he woudl have water shade things like that (i would be with him durring this) , and then just when he gets tiered out bring him inside to sleep.
i would also like to point out that i will get the fence fixedin a few month and untill then we can do our training and outdoor play in there (except for walks).
i dont know if this woudl work but we could work up to him being aloud to be in that kennel while im at work. tell me if anything here dosnt work, its just an idea.

I am no subject matter expert here so take what i say with a grain of salt.
I am thinking that kennel cost way to much money and dosent really provide any protection.
I am glad to hear you have a huge yard. That is great. And i also like outdoor kennels. But you need to make sure your dog is safe first. Do you have a snake problem or spiders where you live? If not thats good but i think you can get a better product for your money.
ohhh i understand what ur saying, ive lived in this town fro a long time and have only seen a gardener snake once, not on my property, and have never seen a big spider only a daddy longlegs and the occasionl house spider. i was thinking of better kennel but when i got to posting i lost the link but thats jsut the exact mesuments and around the price but the one im talking about (on my works computer) is way better built. thans for yo urhelp
