The bleeding has stopped and it doesn't look too bad...just a little raw and the edge of the pad is slightly ragged. Is there anything specifically I should put on this or should I just keep it clean and leave it be? I did a search and found how to prevent this kind of thing but not how to take care of it. Thanks in advance! True

steve strom Webboard User Reg: 03-17-2006 Posts: 4203 Loc: Offline	Last time I just put an antibiotic ointment on and it healed pretty fast. I've used that newskin liquid bandage in the past and it didnt seem to matter. If he's not licking it, they seem to heal pretty easily.

I usually apply antibiotic ointment and bandage in the morning and evening with gauze bandage and he's usually fine in a few days. Also, you might want to get some bag balm and begin applying daily - it will help to prevent the abrasions in the future.
