I finally switched the GSD pup over to raw tonight. She enjoyed a 2 chicken backs, a small neck and a 1/2 cup of THK with a scoop of yogurt and some salmon oil and vitamin E.
I stood and watched her to see what she would do and she took a minute or two to figure out she was supposed to eat the back and neck, but she got the job done.
Now, the next is the Bloodhound pup and I will be down to one dog on kibble......stupid lab anyway.... J/K
I should add in here that I did take her to the vet yesterday for baseline blood panels since she in only 8 months. I have been nervous to start the pups, which is why I waited until now to start.

When I switched my pups to raw I had visions of them dropping dead. I was soooo happy, and a little surprised, when I found them happy and playing as usual the next morning. In my mind I was taking a big risk.
I gradually switched them completely over to raw in about a week. Everybody lived through it with no problems.
It just goes to show how brain washed we are that kibble is best and raw is bad. It's just a very well established urban legend.

Why nervous?
Not getting everything they need, or not enough of everything they need really. Not sure why I was nervous about it, but I think that is a thing of the past now.

4 of my dogs were already on raw, now there is 5. The Lab has a tough time with it, and I have tried all kinds of combos.
He is the last one to be on a good all-natural kibble. Which is okay since he does great on it......

Since I am the O.P. I am going to add some new photos here rather than starting a new thread:
Here is my Mali, just shy of her 2nd Birthday and getting evaluated for aggression work (the photographer missed the sleeve, but she went after the hard (with a bar) sleeve....good girl, I LOVE this dog!! )
Cool photos Carol, nice head on your mal, looks like trouble!I want to see your Bloodhound pup, we have one in our club that tracks with us and I love that dog she is such a character...
Wow, beautiful Mali, Carol. I'm sure the guy with the tug was happy she didn't go for the butt (that was my first thought on seeing that picture!).

Yeah, she was attached to the tug already (otherwise she may have got him in the butt) and he turned with her, she does not let go once she is locked on...
