Alright, now I realize that most of you old timers are going to probably roll your eyes at this post but I don't care! Today my boy gave the trainer a run for her money! Using Bernards video, building drive and focus and ordering the orbee ball has literally worked wonders for him! He turned on the drive today like nobody's business. It's amazing what a thrill it is to see your dog doing what he was meant to do! It's also a great thing to feel like you have a trainer that is worth her weight in gold! So many great things happened in our session today that I'm tickled silly! Just wanted to share that with the forum. Without you this forum I wouldn't know my, well, let's just say I'd be lost! Thanks for all the help and to Ed for this forum and his knowledge. WOOOHOOO! Also, thanks to someone else on the forum who is always there to listen, to encourage and to help. You know who you are...SM

Hey Robbin, I know exactly how you feel! "Focus, Drive and Grip", an Orbee, and a Flinks seminar changed my life, and my dog's life. I finally got a half-decent photo of Parek heeling. We're still working on Mom walking upright and in a straight line, and some residual forging, but you don't get animation like this using compulsion! What a fantastic training tool.
Cheers, Anita

Glad to hear of your joy, IMO, if that isn't there, may not as well be doing anything with the dogs.
You are a plug for orbee here, you know that? I do not have one...*yet*... Payday is today!!!

Yep, you ought to see the smile on both our faces when things are going right! I'm definitely in the "better happy than precise" camp. I'd rather lose a few points for overenthusiasm than underenthusiasm.

You all remember me saying that Levi has aggression issues with other dogs, right? Well, yesterday after only two corrections did he stop and behave himself. Now you might think that was enough to make me happy but something even better came out of it! He actually got a chance to WATCH some other dogs WORKING. No doubt about it, something clicked yesterday because now he wants to WORK all the time!! Also, a little bit of the raised map is starting to come off of the orbee and my trainer who also uses the orbee was shocked, she said that had never happened to any of her balls. I'm guessing this is just a good indication of Levi's enthusiasm! Didn't someone say they replace them free when they get wrecked? lol!
By the way, Anita, you just can't get a better pic than that! Who ever said dogs don't smile???

If they replace wrecked orbee balls, then I get 2 free
Unless they don't consider the raised continents "wrecked". We should find out. Hey, free is free, unless of course you have to pay shipping to send them back. Still cheaper than buying new ones I guess.

Sandy - Hah! I got four free replacements, and Parek is working on generating more for me. I think I accumulated 6 Orbees before finding out I could get free replacements. But that works out well as I can send them 4 at one time and still have 2 available for mauling until the replacements arrive.
The continents are a lost cause, by the way. Not sure what dog they use to run their "Chew-o-meter" test, but it sure isn't mine!
Robbin - thanks... With a head that long, Parek gives "grinning ear-to-ear" a whole new meaning.

I don't have the rope for one of them, think that's ok to send back to manufacturer for a replacement?
Agree about the continents - one ball is missing half with raised portions on the other half, the other has none left at all.
Anita, beautiful heel picture btw!
