Distemper-Parvo?
Limp or lump? You wrote both words.
How is she otherwise?
QUOTE: If a lump develops in the immediate period following routine vaccination and it does not resolve in 4-6 weeks, it should be aspirated for cytologic examination. If it persists to eight weeks, it should be excised. END from

Was this dog vaccinated against lepto? That is not only NOT a core vaccine, but is also riddled with side effects, from everything I've read. Do you know exactly what the shot was?

Lump I'm sorry she is in my arms hard to type it was parvo. She is still play full and eating. But if she moves the wrong way or my other pup hits her on that spot she cries. And it just formed with in the last two hours. She got her shots at 12 p.m. And came home and ate then I gave her the wormer and she slept for 4 hours and got up. And played then ate dinner and when I took her out I found it. She did not have pain then but when she wake up at 10 she had pain.

Well, I just read lots of stuff about vaccine reactions and found that lumps forming a bit after the shot is not uncommon.
What you want to watch for are dehydration (#1), vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, loss of appetite, or ANY unusual responses. Then you would go to an e-vet.
And I would call and report that lump as soon as the vet is open.
So.... please keep us posted.
And do call about the lump.
And I hope the puppy experts will see this and post. :>

This morning she still the lump but it went down quite a bit. She is eating very good this morning. And has already been playing. No diarrhea. It seems like she gained a appetite then lost one lol. I think I worried a little to much for my own good. But yes I will let everyone know what is going on right now she seems to be doing really good. I called my vets cell last night and she came out to my house about 3 a.m. she said it was a little bigger than usual. But she gave her something a liquid I think a little pain killer and she went to sleep. This morning she called me bright and early and asked how she was doing and I told her. She said if anything gos wrong call her. I have this bone for my fridge from her office and I looked at it and it had a number for emergency's and I called it it was her cell. Thanks and I will keep everyone posted.

I would put my money on the Lepto being the culprit. I have had dogs that get lumps, and then once we stop using the Lepto, the dogs do not get lumps any longer.
You can request to leave the Lepto out on the next set of vaccines (if you choose to vaccinate). The Lepto is the liquid part of the vaccine that they add to the solid, shake and then redraw in a syringe and give to your pet.
Normal saline solution or sterile water can be used in place of the liquid to administer the vaccinations without using the lepto part.
Also, some dogs will get tired and have decreased energy levels and/or appetite after vaccinations, this usually only lasts about 24 hours. I would worry more about water intake. IMO.

She has not been drinking much more water a little more than usual though. At this point she is doing really good. Taking her usual morning nap. She seems to be ok no pain anymore still a little lump. But nothing like yesterday the vet came by and said she should be fine to watch her for a couple of days and bring her on Monday to the clinic. To check out every thing one more time just to be on the safe side. No temp no other things out of the ordinary with her behavior.
Thank you this forum is a life savor

IMO, water intake is good as long as it is not huge amounts more than normal. The dog can go without food for a couple days (although if they do, call your vet), but they need to stay hydrated.

I'm glad your puppy is doing better. I have also seen lumps and severe allergic reactions to vaccines, including hives and swelling face and lips. that's a scary one. I'm impressed that your vet would come to your house, at 3:00am, and gives out her cell number! Lucky you. I am forced to drive 25 minutes to an emergency clinic for any after hours care in my area. Oh, I can get an on call vet on the phone for advice, but that is always thier advice. Sounds like a good vet.
