It's almost as if enterprises like this just discovered for themselves that most Schutzhund dogs are equipment oriented. I think the cat's been outta the bag for quite some time.
I love the part where she started to pretend to kick the guy and beat him with the stick!!!
The best part was when it said "A good protection dog should be able to be pet after it has kicked your A@@! I'll be calling the breeder if my dog ever allows a perp to pet him and be nicey nicey after I have had him take a bite! In my opinion, if I have to sic my dog on someone the very act of petting anything should not be in their vocab for quite some time! At least not until the cast comes off!
HAHAHAHAHAHA. All I'm really capable of doing is laughing after seeing that.. lol.. oh gosh. That was a good laugh. 7 months old? Anybody else find that pretty intense for a 7 month old pup? Maybe I just expect too little out of my 7 month old puppies
I don't want my dog to be nicey nicey to the decoy AFTER the bite. Before, sure, sit and let the dude in the michellin man suit pat your head and don't bite him. Yet.
I liked the dog. For a 7 month old dog it did a good job and they kept it pressure free, really nice temperament. It'd be nice to see how the dog is in a yr or 2 when defense is introduced and strange decoys are used. How many people really want the sharp, anti-social suspicious pup that solves everything with his mouth? A small percentage i think,
AL
By allowing the dog to be petted like that makes me wonder how committed to the bite this pup will be as an adult. I hope they don't mess up a good dog doing that. I have to hand it to the dog though because at this point it shows good nerve.
But as a PPD? It's not what I would be producing - hopefully the kennel doesn't intend to sell it as such, if so......let the buyer beware.
I do note that the kennel involved seemed honest about one of their dogs up for sale ( they note it's temperament problem ) - that type of honesty is rare in the PPD world and they should be commended for that!
