Most times when I want to "quote" someone I only need one area of their post, however, lately I have noticed that I want to take several different parts out of a post, now I know that it can be done because those of you that are seasoned on the board can quote inside of a quote inside of a quote... or quote, speak, quote, speak. Might someone be kind of enough to help me figure out how to do this, please?

Let's say you have a couple of things from several different posts on the same subject that you want to quote from, say I want to take something you said and quote it and then I want to take something Sandy said and quote it, can that be done or no?

Yes...but you'd need to open another tab/window on your browser, pull up the LB forum (you'd then have 2 open)and copy and paste.
There's probably an easier method (I'm not really computer-savvy)but that's how I'd do it.

Er...I think I understood that last one...well maybe not.
Okay, let's try this one, how do you use emoticons in a post that you are quick quoting? The option to do so isn't offered in the conventinal way..
