Okay, for a pup that NEVER gave us any problems before all of a sudden we have a 12 month old tyrant on our hands.
In the past couple of weeks the little booger has torn up major sections of my drip system! Not just the part on top of the ground but the major hosing underneath the ground and he has been targeting all of them under all the outdoor plants.
Granted, he should be kenneled if I am not going to be around to supervise, and he is, however we have never had an issue with this stuff with him! Im shocked! Besides, I only leave him out when I know I am going to be gone an extended period of time.
Come to think of it, we are just now starting to have the problems that most of you complain about with your working pups, i.e. mouthy, biting, attempting to engage, yada yada, is this something that is brought on by the PP training? Maybe a frustration for not working 24/7? I told you guys he was a late bloomer!
Should I go back to kenneling round the clock again, attempt to correct or what??
At around a year old most dogs will start to test and re-test all limits. I don't leave my pup outside for more than 60 seconds unsupervised. She will dig something up, or get into something and come in covered in mud if I did. And this is a dog that I now can leave uncrated during the day while I'm at work and she will not destroy anything. Buckle down and double your efforts. Set him up for success, and do not leave him in a situation where he can fail. Remember he will not be a mature adult for at least another year.

Sounds like he's bored and the destruction will only get worse.... He calls it keeping himself entertained....
I am double fenced and I only leave my dogs out when I'm home. Even then if I leave them out too long they will have a hole dug 1/2 way to China.
The good side of that is that last week we went out and bought 3 trees for the holes they had dug. Sure did take the work out of adding to the landscaping.

Been there, done that! One dog, one nice hole, one tree planted.
I chose to look at it as working for his supper. HA!
