Well I had some family come in for the holidays.
And they made some stupid comments. I feed jewel and phoenix raw now. And they told me that my pit would kill me one day. Well also I do have kennels for both of my puppys. They told me that I keep them in a cage all day. And I am a horrible pet owner. And that they were going to call the city pound on me for doing that. Needless to say they did call city on me who turned it over to the aspca. They came to my house yesterday and did a long inspection. And ask what I feed I told them raw and gave them the menu i make out every week for them. Well they ended up calling someone and they tried to say I was not taking care of them. And I had a pit puppy in my house. Well by that time I had called my vet and she was there. Gave them the quick run down and they finally left. I told my family to leave but I dont understand why people are so against pits and I just thought I was loosing my dogs for no reason.

Needless to say I think they wanted to find something wrong but they did not and they were mad I guess.
Well later that day I got a call from the aspca. The women told me she was sorry and that the 2 guys were under investigation. For what happen she said that they had no reason to do what they did. She looked at the pictures and report and they should of left as soon as they got there.

I'm not sure how much interaction you ever want to have with them again, but if the answer is "some" (for some reason), then I'd start printing out some crate-training and raw-feeding info and MAILING it (not going there).......

I guess I would do that anyway, to preclude further comments from them -- whether invited or not.

That isn't what would be in my dark dark heart, though.

I don't plan on it they are in a motel tell there plain leave after x-mas. Then they can not come over anymore. The rest of the family is supposed to arrive today. But I don't think It will happen at my house after all

I think it is nice that the lady called you with an apology. Curious, do you think the fam' will be so kind? Doubtful, eh?

Actually, you should tell them what happened and thank them for calling aspca, since they ended up backing you up! We're on your side!

I don't even know what to say to this. I would not suggest to waste the stamp on mailing them anything. Do feel free to print out the infomation and *** mod edit ***

You may want to get in contact with that female rep from the SPCA and ask for a second, unbiased, inspection; just to cover your rear end. Or at the very least obtain a copy of the report that is already on file. Usually people out to prove a point, or fulfill a "cause" don't stop until they are successful; family or not.
