Taking two seconds to make a suggestion is easy. Positive training/desensitizing/socializing takes time, patience and effort. The credit goes to you! Glad it worked.
She is getting kibble in the a.m., so I did the same thing that I did w/ the raw last night. No go! She did eventually allow the collar to go on, but obviously the kibble doesn't have a high enough value to get her to sit still.
Yup, that's dog training sometimes! Two steps forward and one step back! I think your dog is telling you something about kibble.
You know, you could just skip doing this with the kibble for now. Best to do it with the highest chance of success, IMO.
Instead, I'd consider only doing it with the raw, and I would suggest using Jennifer's suggestion throughout the day with hot dog pieces or roast beef or bacon or something. Any tasty tidbit. The more you do it, the faster she'll get over it and make the association of positive things and the collar. I wouldn't limit it to only a couple of times a day.
All the extra calories will be worked off once you finally get that prong on and start getting really good walks in!
