Does anyone know what types of collars a dog can wear during a CGC test?
Also, does anyone have a link for the overview of the test and any advice for taking it. Sonya will start training for her CGC this weekend, I'm not sure she will pass the seperation part of the test (after reading some of the threads on here), but we will try. Thanks.

Hi,

I am hoping to take the test in March. I think Ellie will be okay with the leaving with a stranger portion -- not so sure on the grooming part. This is a good reminder as I need to start practicing some of the items.
After reading the grooming part of the test I think this definitely will be a problem for her. I typically would never ask a person to touch my dog, children yes just for a hand sniff and a pet on the back to show them how to pet a friendly dog but never an adult. When people try to pet her she usually ignores them and walks away (usually when we are playing in a field). She is not good with vets once she reached maturity. At least I know her limitations and can try to work on it.
I talked to the woman running the training class and she said it will only be me and one other person going to the class, so I will have plenty of one-on-one time with the trainer. I'll update this weekend on how her training is going.
I wish they had schutzhund training closer to where I am because I would rather do that, but I am limited to places within walking distance.
