lol.
I just found out one of my kids(i am a teacher) and his dad killed so many deer this past season, and there i was talking to his mom during lunch with a bunch of 2-5 year olds about what butcher they go to, and if i could have all their tripe.....
that was an interesting discussion, i then realized just how many vegan families my art preschool has.......
but i am all about hiding nothing from kids, so there i was, talking about guts and skinning......and how horrible it smells.priceless.
could you put the contents in a hole and bury it, and just idk, burn some leaves later to cover the smell???
don't know where you are, we have a burn ban here.
or you could triple bag it, and take it to a dump behind a resturant, it already smells there.
If they will let you dump them at the slaughter house that would be the best option. And they probably aren't going to fit in anything but a very large cooler (one per cooler) with the stomach contents.
If there is a patch of woods close to the road in the country you could take them in there to dump it.
The stomach contents will disperse pretty quickly if they are spread out rather than in a pile.
If you wanted to bag them up and dumpster them and didn't put too much in each garbage bag it would be manageable.
A folding camping shovel would be about the right size for this job and make things easier.
AH yes, you know your a dog person when your dinnertime conversation would make a doctor sick. I realized the other day how inept I am at "normal" conversation, I started to discuss scat or stool, whichever is more polite, at a time when non family members were around, yes it was a doctor, and yes it almost made him sick....
is stomach that is processed (like at the store, bagged etc) still as nutritious as the un cleaned stuff?
is stomach that is processed (like at the store, bagged etc) still as nutritious as the un cleaned stuff?
The stuff you can buy at the grocery store (that I assumer some strange people eat) has been bleached and well cleaned, removing most of the nutrients. "Green" tripe has had absolutely no processing and is covered in all the nutritious "goo" that sticks to all those inner stomach walls and folds. I don't think feeding the processed stuff is recommended, as it's more like filler at that point than anything useful. That's how I understand it anyway.
No you don't want the white tripe...amazingly enough when cooked it smells worse than the fresh green tripe. Yes I did try it once...and stunk up my place..gross
