thanks, from your posts i would never have guessed that were but a child like myself, tee, hee.
You study wolf behaviour? Ive seen your posts on the subject so I wondered, is it for fun or for work?
Purely for fun - I started out when I was quite young. I am part Cherokee and my family was friends with several Cherokee in and around the city, some of which had wolves and wolfdogs that I was fascinated with. I learn through watching the animals and learning from their owners of their techniques and training/handling methods and lots of fun stuff. I rescued/fostered two wolfdogs from them and after I moved the first time lost touch with everybody.
I continued to study wolves through every book I could find, at rescue facilities, watching documentaries and shows, etc. There is also a small pack in the Cascades where I lived for a little over a year that I saw on occassion. I considered being a wolf biologist but I don't have the patience that possition requires.. I don't like people enough!
Nice to have someone else my age on the board I feel like a sassy child on here sometimes.
Ditto! At 25, I sometimes feel like I have no room to talk, but I am genetically predisposed to opening my trap whether I should or not ... I just can't help it lol.
thats neat, unfortunatly theres only coyotes arounf here but Ive watched all the documentaries (not the most informative but fun to watch) and read all the books in the library about animals. After I found out I couldnt be an Indian Brave I wanted to be a zoologist with more of a naturalist swing (basicly I wanted to be a hermit and live in the wild)
I know this will probably come back on me but I loved Robert Payson Terhune books no matter how romantisized they are...
hmmm-that sounds incredibly disjointed but its all on the same subject believe it or not..
