P.S. if you know what you are looking for you will see lots and lots of handler mistakes, which is why having someone to videotape your training is so valuable. Most of the time I am not aware of all the extra fidgeting around I do...argh.
but as the saying goes, "when you know better, you do better"
I never get bored of watching mondioring videos. I'm ordering two videos from Kadi Thingvall on French ring, common mistakes that handlers tend to teach.
"It's better to be an optimist who is sometimes wrong than a pessimist who is always right"
It's such a joy to see a young puppy working. They're so cute, try so hard, so focused on FOOD
As far as you fidgeting, Cindy, ummmm if that's what fidgeting looks like, I wonder if there's a term for what I do
Shoot....
Carol, pictures please and pm me with the name of the software you're using for them or whatever problem you're having with the software. Maybe I can help and am willing to do so if I can just look at your pictures.
Oh, quick question - did you guys let Ember and Rush get together at all? Did they react to each other like they knew each other, etc, you know what I mean.

You are a dream and I LOVE you...I will PM you.
No, Ember did not get to meet any dogs. She has "pushy" issues with dogs so it is best she not be around strange dogs yet.
I started her socializing with mine, however, I need to work on me being her world, so right now she is on "mommy isolation".

Lovely. Looks excellent.
Do you have a link on training that Between the Legs position? I love it, I need to teach Macy that one. She's 60ish pounds, so I'll have to...you know..spread 'em.
you just lure the dog with food. i lure to the right so they don't confuse it with heel position. I have long legs and a short dog so it wasn't too difficult.
