The amount of "power" that is needed with an e collar is not dictated by, size, breed or age, but by tempermanent,drive,enviroment,previous training, and how clear and consistant you have been. I would also STRONGLY reccomend Ed's DVD on how to properly use the collar. It was well worth the money. Michelle
