OK. Here are my experiences of starting raw feeding.
I fed her the hamburger last night. She did well.
I fasted her for the am feeding. She had a few treats and a peanut butter kong thru out the day.
Offered her ground turkey tonight. She ate a couple of bites. She spent more time sniffing it and walking around it than eating. But she did eat a tiny bit.
I took up the food after 15-20 minutes.
I will refrigerate it and offer it again in the morning.
Should I sprinkle parm cheese or something on in for the am feeding or offer it plain again?

I would offer it plain again, but there's certainly no problem with sprinkling a teeny bit of parm on it just to get her started.
Having switched many dogs (either mine or those of other folks), I have done a few "spoiled dog" tricks at first with a dog who is used to kibble and doesn't quite trust the brand-new thing.
I have cooked liver, ground up chicken breast, and sprinkled the fish oil that I already knew the dog loved over the top.
IME, this is strictly a "new thing" hesitation, and the dog *always* ends up loving the new diet.

Thanks, Connie. I'll offer it plain in the morning.
Do you think it would be OK if I left it out on the kitchen counter tonight (covered)? The temp in my kitchen is usually 60- 65 degrees at night.
It was refrigerator cold when offered and she is used to eating room temp.

Also, make sure that you aren't *hovering* too close. If you are paying an EXTREME amount of attention to her and her new food it might make her wary.
Just a reminder.
Good luck!

I would keep it in the fridge and then take it out in the morning and let it come to room temp that way.
The only time I leave meat out is if it is frozen and I need to thaw it out.

This is a *really* good observation, and for more than one reason.
A few years ago, a new adoptee would not eat unless I handed her the food, and then she ran off with it to eat in private.
When I posted it here, Al Curbow pointed out that if I, the pack leader, was standing over the bowl, then how could the new dog know for sure that the food was for her?
He was 100% correct. When I set it down and walked away, she ate like a wolf.

Michael, Carol and Connie, thanks for the advice.
Needless to say, 'Mama' guard dog was nearby, I hope I wasn't hoovering but I will leave her with more privacy. Interesting observation.
I had a dog for years that wouldn't eat unless I stayed in the room with her.

Its good to be in the vicinity while your dog is eating.
I like watching my dog eat. I just do it from a distance that I know is comfortable for him, which is closer now than when he first started raw feeding. You know your dog better than me, though.
Along with Connie's reasoning for not hovering too close, you also don't want to convey any nervousness to your dog about this new food either. Offer it to her with complete confidence that you are making the best decision of your dogs life. If you are nervous about the food, she might get nervous about it too.

Thanks, Michael, for the Wise advice.
I'm sure I was a little apprehensive about the food. I'll do better tomorrow.
Sheesh, I feel like a new mother hoovering about her baby.
And, yeah, I guess with reconsideration I was hoovering. I kept looking to see if she was eating or sniffing.
You guys are so smart.

You're doing fine. My first feeding involved ALOT of staring at my dog. The apprehensiveness will go away pretty quick. I don't know anybody that wasn't at least slightly terrified when they first started.
