I have a ? and I'm not sure what the best way is to say this!
My pup is 4 1/2 month old male(Un-fixed) and EVERY time I do anything with him(brush, walk, change collers, training times and so on) he get's aroused, very much so!
Can some one please tell me why he dose this? It's nasty and I don't like it. Is there anything I can do to make him stop?
I think there was a similar question asked recently (was it recently? Im still dating things 07) and apparently male dogs tend to do that sometimes when they are excited (in the normal sense of the word) or worked up about somehting; didnt hear of any way to stop it

I don't mean this the wrong way...but this is NOT something to be worrying about. It's a dog, not a man flashing you! It's natural and normal and less embarrassing than dog farts when company's over, IMO!

LOLOLOL
I agree, absolutely nothing to worry about. As he grows up, he'll have more control. He can't help what his little lipstick does.
To make a note.. when the "lipstick" comes out of the "case" that does not mean the dog is excited, it means he is relaxed. If that wasn't a very good hmm description when the red/pink wee wee comes out of the fur part it is just that the dog is relaxed.
There is a HUGE difference (pun intended) between a relaxed male dog and an excited male dog. When a male dog is excited the penis becomes enlarged like any other male animal and is a different color, often kind of purple, with two round knots on either side of the base of the penis. That is "excited/aroused" versus just relaxed.
Thanks for asking the question Christi,I was too unsure to ask this and I almost choked on my water laughing at the replies(lipstick out of its case)Now I feel assured that this is normal

And nothing to worry about, it is a male thing.
LOL Steve...
Here's a good example Christi.
(Just kidding Jennifer, LOL.)

Hmmm, wonder what it is when the two round knots happen when the dog is just laying there or just came out of a sleep. Do you think they dream about........you know.....? AAAAHHH
