I can't say I disagree with this although I rarely welcome more government fines. I've witnessed this a few times and I cringe just as bad at this as people riding with their dogs on motorcycles or dogs loose in the back of a pickup.

There you go another great example of legal genius from the Granola state. All I have to say is that there is already a law on the book in probably all 50 states its called reckless driving and I know here (in my state) has one hell of a hefty fine. All the cops have to do is pull them over tell them to get the dog out there lap if they give him any lip throw a reckless driving charge on them.
But truth be told this probably less about what law really need to be enforced and more about that politician making himself feel important, because he can say I fixed that problem when in all actually the cops are not going to waste there time on this still. Cops are going to do the same thing everyone else does and refuses to admit hope that all run off the road.
If I lived in this state I would call that politician and let him know just what I thought of him and his law then I would call my local one to explain the same thing to him.
Just My Opinion and you know what they say about those.

I saw this on our local news.
While I agree this is unsafe I don't see this nearly as much as women applying make-up and people yakking on cell phones (which is supposed to be illegal).
There are far bigger problems this state needs to address but, as usual, they get caught up in chicken sh...er...poop.

Hey, no pickin' on California unless you live here, huh? It's just another dumb ass law for people with no common sense.

There's not enough time in the day to do that with all the stupid stuff that goes on here.

I know I shouldnt pick on you all, but you have to admit those sort of law are why the rest of the nation calls you granola.
Also, you always have time to call and say you're fired or pack your bags and go home its your last term. I preffer to just say your fired. If you get enough people to call you will see them whining about how mean your are on the local news.
I know because we have a state wide talk radio station that told everyone to do it locked up the message boards they got the message and started whining that we where mean we just express our opinion that they should be fired lol. Try it sometime see if you cant make a politican shake.
