(I know this is supposed to be non dog related but...) Do you hunt/fish for trophies or meat? Meat for your table, your dogs/cats meals, or all of the above? Seems like most of us raw feed, (agh, there I go again with the dogs.) so I was wondering how many of us go out and hunt our own. I personally like eating wild game, and love fresh caught fish, we were not well to do when I was a child and wild game was fed to us on a daily basis. My mom and my dad hunted and trapped and fished, so did I and my siblings. We all still do, too. I still love oven roasted squirrel. yumyum Catfish fried in a castiron pan beside the river...ohmy. There is something very removed and un-human about buying meat on a styrafoam, shrink-wrapped tray from the supermarket. And because I guess I've got some survivalist blood in me. Maybe I've seen Red Dawn too many times. Washington is full of hunting and fishing adventures, not to mention goin' crabbing off of my parent's boat.

I use to hunt and fish all the time and for some reason or another stopped. Raw feeding actually got me started again. Now that I have the dogs figured out, I have intentions of filling up another freezer for me.:wink: I like trophy deer as much as the next, but am perfectly fine with a doe for the table. Here are some pics of 2 bucks that I got on my game camera last year. Elk are draw permit only, so I don't mess with them too much. Other than that, there are the small game squirrels and rabbits. Turbo hasn't shown much interest in dove, so they are mine this year. Duck hunting is a lot of trouble on public land, so I think my last duck was killed about five years ago.

Love to fish saltwater and freshwater. Used to spear fish years ago. Bowfishing for rough fish is a blast! Go shrimping off my boat every year and average about 20 gal for the season. My deer last year left a little to be desired in the accuracy department. Down to a consistent 5" group from 30-35 yards. 1 more month to a freezer full of dog food.
