My friend and fellow forum member Steve Patrick asked me if I would post these photos for him. This is his 20 month old GSD "Fredrick van het Volgerland."

Thanks Mike for putting on the photos for me, Fred sure has changed since the days he was put on here as a Pup
He has not been rushed in his work as we have never put a time limit on what he has to do up to now,
In early November he will take his BH and he is trained well on two of the ScHh1 phases now, he just needs a bit more work on the tracking but i expect he will go for the ScHh1 before the end of the year or in january, then we can go on next year steady to work on for the two ScH 2 & 3
Goran is very good with obedinace but he is not too good at the moment with protection, but he is young so it may come
but if not he will compete later in doubles competitions, for instance like him on obedinace, and Fred on protection, plus Fred can go it alone
Steve
Hi Steve -- Fred looks super! Good luck with your BH and SchH titles with him! And Goran too! The doubles competition sounds interesting -- I;ve never heard of that here in the States.
If I'm not mistaken you've said you train with Rinus Bastiaansen right? We have him scheduled to judge our Spring 09 trial -- I'm hoping to trial for my SchH1 under him at that trial.

Hello Katie
That is Rinus in the second photo. He is one of the very best trainers and ScHh judges in Belgium.
The person working Fred in the photos is my brother Philip. and the Pakwerker is Marcel, also a Top Trainer, he helps us when Rinus is away so we are very lucky to have the help of these two Guys who are also very good friends and it does not cost us anything for there help, Can you send me a mail of the venue your Dog is taking ScHh1
Doubles over here. you can have one Dog to do the Obedience Phase and another Dog teamed up to do the Protection Phase
Or you can have Protection doubling with Tracking one Dog does one phase then totalled for the two parts, it is very interesting
Yesterday Rinus was Judging at the Belgian Provincial Championship.
Steve
