As some of you know this is a pup out of Spy -x- Arras.
My kennel help is picking him up in Denver today so he will be hom tonight.
Max is getting to retirement age, so I have been contemplating a new trailing dog.
Betty contacted me and was wondering if I knew of anyone that would be interested in a working pup for SAR, so Ajay just kind of fell into my lap.
This is why I encourage people to be patient and do their homework before picking a dog for what they want. It pays off ten fold when you have patience.
When he gets home I will post more pics of Betty's baby.

Max is coming on 8.
I have been having issues on starts with him, which is not normal at all. He had a shoulder injury a few years ago and has started whining when he gets up or lays on it wrong.
Vet check shows all is normal, but he may have some arthritis in the shoulder, so I am thinking my start issues are coming from that, since I have went over everything I am doing in training.
I will run him on fun stuff during training so that he does not feel left out, and he still is real focused on hot trails (up to 4 or 5 hrs old) but any aged stuff is getting tough for him.
So, I work on keeping him at a good weight, massage him up before and after he works and we have some Duramax (sp?) for the bad days.
It is really sad for me, and I wish I could work him forever.

Wow, I can see how it would be sad to retire an old partner like that. I hope you can manage his condition.
What a fulfilling working life you gave him though... and I'm sure he'll appreciate being included in some of the fun stuff even after you retire him. He can inspire your up-and-coming generation

Ajay was the hit of the airport. Cargo is closed today so Russ had to take him to the ticket counter and all fell in love with him.
He went up his first escalator today at the airport. Russ said he kind of stopped cold at the bottom of it and looked at it like what the heck is this. Russ just said come on, lets go and he jumped right on and exited it like a champ!
I think it's safe to safe that he is enviromentally sound! <GRIN>

Gotta be youtube videos now, the forum has moved past just a couple of pics.
Excellent point Steve. You're absolutely right.
Carol, he's absolutely right..........
Ugh...I know. I really do have all kinds of videos to add, but adding them is where my problem is.
Thank goodness my daughter is here now and taking an Intro to Communications class as an elective in her senior year. She is learning my movie making program and is willing to sit and teach me as well.
So, in the next couple months when it is too cold to go outside I can sit and post to youtube like crazy.
It sucks to say that I am just not good at that kind of computer stuff.
