How do you really feel about this, be honest with yourself if you havent ever seen it performed or seen the after effects of what it can do to a dog then please dont offer an opinion, i for one am very supportive on the table but i dont fully grasp the concepts of why it does what it does, meaning i have seen some of the nicest dogs become demons on patrol work after a couple sessions on the table, i have only seen one dog out about 20 that had no reaction and just sat down he wasnt cut out to be a military working dog so he was dropped anyway. I have done some of the reading on this site and its clear that there is a negative view of this, but i honestly can say i have seen no adverse side effects to any of the working dogs i have dealt with.
just so you know on this site it is reffered to as table training but i have always called it the afitation table its the same thing just different verbage
Table training is not a suject that will be discussed on my web board. I have it in the same category as "fighting dogs." It's a barbaric, ignorant way to protection train dogs. It was devised by trainers that were too fat and too lazy to train a dog correctly.
