What do the initials O.G. stand for at the beginning of some clubs names? I used to know what it stood for. I know it's probably in one of the Schutzhund books I have here but can't seem to find it. this is one of those questions that seems like it would be easy to find the answer but I can't seem to.
We are starting a new DVG club and are trying to come up with a name and the O.G. thing keeps coming up and why so many clubs have that in their name.
I know I'll find it as soon as I submit this post LOL.
OG in the name of the Schutzhund club indicates which venue the club goes to eat at after training.
OG would be Olive Garden. SB is Smokey Bones. RT is Ruby Tuesday etc. A few clubs go with the BBQ but you gotta watch out for that one because I've seen some terrible burnt hotdogs at the BBQ clubs.

LOL, you guys are a laugh riot.
I found it in one of the books here. Then got an answer on another site explaining it.
O.G. stands for Ortsgruppe which means local group. It is very confusing for those of us in the south since Ocee is a term used somewhat similarly around here, at least in Georgia. I've never figured out the origin of that term, however.
